Spark! Pro series – 28th March 2022 Spiceworks Originals.Imagine if the company that made your car decided that since your car is out of warranty and no longer compatible with new emission standards they just disable the key fob so you can't even open the car door! I wish someone would file a class action law suit against intuit and show them they can't just bully people into buying a new version when they need to boost their yearly sales. However, for them to just quietly kill my otherwise working program that I paid for is borderline criminal in my opinion. If I were trying to call Intuit and expecting them to help me they would be right to say no.

Yeah I get it that the program is not officially supported. Oh Yeah! and forget automated bank reconciliations and all integrations with stuff like shopify and such. i suppose if you don't want state updates or security fixes and don't use their payroll service (It sucks btw) it'll work.

Not exactly a new tactic from a software maker.īy the way: QuickBooks 2014 and below are not officially supported on Windows 10 of any flavor. That tells you that Intuit is breaking it on purpose. shut QuickBooks completely off and isolate it from Intuit in order to make it work. Any suggestions or ideas how I can do this? Also, I needs to be able to access the file server on her local network. I need to be able to block internet access to Quickbooks but I don't know if there is some other. Unplugging the ethernet cable every time you want to run Quickbooks isn't very practical. No internet access and Quickbooks works fine. So to recap, if the computer has internet access, Quickbooks crashes. To further test it, I closed Quickbooks, plugged the ethernet cable back into the computer, opened Quickbooks again and the error message popped right back up and crashed the program again. what do I have to lose? So I unplugged the ethernet cable and opened Quickbooks and like magic it worked perfectly! No errors at all!

Obviously they make money if people upgrade which made me wonder if this is their way of forcing users to buy the upgrade? It sounded crazy but I thought, ok. Intuit says they do not recommend or support any version older than 2015 on Windows 10. I found a message on the Microsoft forums that suggested it was somehow related to Quickbooks "phoning home" to Intuit and then for some reason causing it to crash.

I had seen this same scenario in October last year on another Windows 10 PC but they were running Quickbooks 2010. Last quarter it worked but this time when she opens it she gets the prompt to login, enters her password, Quickbooks starts to open and for a split second you can see the main home screen and then a error message pops up that says " Quickbooks has stopped working" and the only option is to click close, which forces Quickbooks to immediately close/crash. The person only uses it once a quarter to do some invoices. So I have a computer running Windows 10 Pro with Quickbooks 2011 installed.
